What We Do And How We Can Help

When it comes to money, many of us believe that having lots of it is the be-all, end-all goal. And while, yes, money does make the world go round, we believe that money is a tool, not a solution. That’s why Shelton Financial Group takes a different approach to help people pursue financial freedom with a goal of bringing not only security, but fulfillment too.

Meet Our Team: Nathan Shelton

Financial advising is in my blood. Although my father has been in the financial services industry most of my life and set an incredible example for me, it wasn’t until I got firsthand experience in the industry that I caught the finance bug. Witnessing the confidence clients felt from working with an advisor with whom they had a personal relationship and whom they could trust is what made me fall in love with the idea of serving people as a financial advisor, helping them steward their money responsibly and work toward financial freedom.

Financial Scams Targeting Fort Wayne Retirees

As COO of Shelton Financial Group part of my role is working to protect our firm and our clients against scammers trying to profit when we let our guard down. Unfortunately, with the rise of technology there have been more and more accounts of retirees being targeted for financial scams to rob them of their wealth or identities. Because scammers have gained an understanding of how to trick and manipulate this generation, it has become quite common for them to gain access to bank accounts, personal information and in some cases, assets. We regularly hear stories from our clients of attempted or successful scams they have endured.
